Assistive Technology Assignment


 

In education the trend now to have assertive devices is important for students to have information that comes across to students and your audience in a refreshing way that grabs their attention. The article, Top 5 Benefits of Technology in the Classroom, addresses this “Using devices like a computer, tablet, or other type of technology in your classroom can help turn traditionally dull subjects into interactive and fun activities” (Walden University, n.d.). Creating this environment helps them to understand the content you are presenting. In the article an application of virtual reality in education: Can this technology enhance the quality of students’ learning experience? McGovern et al. (2019) states that “It is critical for educators to stay relevant on topics related to their discipline in order to find the appropriate technologies that can enhance their students’ learning experience” Technology is an excellent way to help stimulate a person's interest in new content and curriculum. With technology helping to aid with information and assessing that information to your students as well as others it is important that different types of assisting technology is implemented in the classroom to help show a full picture of your class learning style development and progression in certain is not educational content. Assertive devices can help to create clam learning environment in classrooms for students who process information differently whether it is from auditory to visual learners.

Technology Lesson Demonstration Assignment Written Explanation A. I believe the app was very beneficial in helping kindergarten classes to understand the different types of shapes. With the introductory lesson and manipulative that students are presented with. The app helps to aid in the understanding of the lesson of two-dimensional shapes. In the Wixie app students are given the opportunity to be presented with shapes in a fun and inviting way that is age appropriate for them to comprehend the naming of different shapes such as circle, square, triangle, and rectangle. The app also has a place where students can draw or record the shapes that they notice and recognize. I am not familiar with this app. This is my first time ever hearing of Wixie.
